Mullingar Scratch Trophy Winner

Congratulations once again to Brian Doran who has topped off what is already a stellar year with a massive win!

Today Brian has become the first member of Millicent Golf Club to have won one of the biggest tournaments in Irish Amateur golf, the Mullingar Scratch Trophy. Brian had rounds of 68, 70, 71 and 68 to win by 2, Brian’s name will go onto the trophy alongside golfing royalty: Rory McIlroy (2006), Shane Lowry (2008), Padraig Harrington (1994), Paul McGinley (1991), Darren Clarke (1989) and many many others. What an absolutely unbelievable achievement and what an honour it is for us as a club to just have our name beside his!
